Verify Your Business
What is Business Verification?
Business verification is a process by Meta (Facebook) to confirm that your business is real and legitimate. Once verified, your WhatsApp messaging limit increases significantly — from 250 messages per day to 2,000 and beyond.
How to use it
What you need
- Any one of the following business registration documents:
- GST Number (Goods and Services Tax registration)
- Udyam Registration (for micro, small, and medium enterprises in India)
- PAN Card (Permanent Account Number — a tax ID)
- CIN Number (Corporate Identification Number — for registered companies)
- LLPIN (Limited Liability Partnership Identification Number)
- Or any equivalent business registration document from your country
- Your official business name (must match the document you upload)
- A phone number listed on your business document for verification (this does not need to be the same as your WhatsApp API number)
- A running business website (mandatory for verification)
Step-by-step setup
- On your Waplify dashboard, find the Get Started checklist
- Click Start Verification on Step 3 — Meta Security Center opens in a new tab
- Follow the step-by-step process to fill in your business details
- Enter all details properly and upload your business document
- Verify using a one-time code (sent to your phone or email) when prompted
- Your verification will be submitted to Meta for review
- Come back to Waplify and click I've started verification to confirm
Meta states verification takes up to 48 hours, but it usually completes sooner. You can continue with other setup steps while waiting.
Tips & best practices
- Double-check that your business name matches exactly with the document you upload
- Make sure your business website is live and accessible — Meta will check it during the review process
- If your document has your phone number on it, use that same number during the verification process for faster approval
- You can check the status of your verification anytime from Meta Security Center
- Start this step early — even while setting up templates and contacts — since it involves a waiting period
Frequently asked questions
Why do I need to verify my business?
Meta limits unverified businesses to 250 messages per day. After verification, your limit increases to 2,000 messages per day and grows automatically as you maintain good quality.
What if my verification is rejected?
If Meta rejects your verification, check the reason provided and resubmit with corrected information. Common issues include mismatched business names or unreadable documents.
Can I send messages while verification is pending?
Yes! You can still send messages with the default limit of 250 per day while your verification is being reviewed.
How long does verification take?
Meta says up to 48 hours, but most verifications complete within a few hours to one business day.
Do I need to verify again if I add a new phone number?
No. Business verification is done at the Meta Business Portfolio level, not per phone number. Once verified, all phone numbers under that business benefit from higher limits.
