Sell on WhatsApp - Catalog, Product Messages and Orders

Your products can now live inside a WhatsApp conversation. Connect the catalog you already keep on Meta, send products in a message, and take orders from a cart without sending anyone to a website.

Your catalog, inside the chat

Commerce reads the product catalog you already manage in Meta Commerce Manager. Nothing to re-enter, nothing to keep in sync by hand: change a price in Meta and Waplify shows the new price.

Connecting it is three steps, and Waplify walks you through them in order. Two of them happen on Meta's side, including the one people always miss: connecting the catalog to your WhatsApp number under Account tools › Catalog in WhatsApp Manager. Meta does not let any outside tool make that connection for you, so the setup now says so plainly instead of letting you discover it when products fail to appear.

See Connect Your Product Catalog.

Three ways to show products

Products go out as templates, approved once and reused:

  • Single product puts one item at the top of the message. Good for a recommendation.
  • Multi-product shows a short list you picked, grouped into sections. Good for a handful of offers.
  • Full catalog adds a button that opens everything you sell. Good for browsing.

Pick Commerce as the message type in the template builder and choose which one you want. They send from the inbox, from a campaign, or from a flow, like any other template.

See Sending Products in a Message.

Carts arrive as orders

When a customer fills a cart and sends it, it lands in two places: in the conversation, so whoever is handling that customer sees it in context, and under Commerce → Orders as a proper order with items, quantities, totals and a status you can move along.

A new Commerce → Dashboard shows orders and revenue over time, and Commerce → Products lists what Waplify can currently read from your catalog.

See Receiving Orders.

Good to know

  • Commerce is switched on per account by the Waplify team. It is not part of a plan you can upgrade to yourself, and it stays hidden in the menu until it is enabled. Contact support if you want it.
  • Products are created and edited in Meta Commerce Manager. The Products page in Waplify is read-only.
  • One catalog per WhatsApp number. If you sell several ranges, keep them as sets inside one catalog.
  • Taking payment inside the chat is a separate feature with its own requirements. See the next entry.
